Computer Buying Project

For our computer buying project my two choices were either an iMac computer or a dell PC computer. I chose PC. I have been using PC's ever since I was little so I know how to use them. Macs are very expensive especially when i have no idea how to use them. If i were to get a Mac it would take a long time getting used to it. iMacs have a huge screen which would be really nice but what would you need it for. I could just get a tv if i wanted that big of a screen to watch videos or movies. Plus PC's come in many different sizes. I like how the PC has a mouse that fits right into the palm of your hand rather than a flat thing for the iMac. Also i like the style of a thicker keyboard. That is why i would choose a dell PC.

Power Searching with Google Part 2

We have just finished the Power searching with Google unit and I'm surprised of how much I've learned so far! I found out about one really helpful thing and that was Google books. I had no idea that Google even had a section that was called books. I like how on the front it gives recommendations and different varieties of books. I found out that you can search quotes too. That's very helpful when you have a quote for homework and want to know more about it.

Computer Apps So far this Year

This semester i am taking a computer apps class. This is a class that is dedicated to learning more about computers and how to navigate them better. We have learned so much, especially about Google. We started off with a power searching with Google unit. This unit we are learning the shortcuts of using Google. I have learned the ways to type in Google. Small things matter. Just that extra space or Uppercase can change the results you get. Another shortcut is if you are looking for a specific color you can filter it along with a few more filters on the left panel of images. These thinks have helped me so much while searching something on my own time!
